Scrunch vs AnswerLine
Scrunch is a dashboard product: prompt sets, benchmarks and recommendations in a UI. AnswerLine is the collection layer underneath products like it — the raw answers, sources and fields, as JSON per request.
Model and coverage
| Scrunch | AnswerLine | |
|---|---|---|
| Product shape | A dashboard: prompt sets, brand workspaces, site audits and an agent experience platform. | An API: one request returns one engine's answer as JSON, to feed your own tracker, warehouse or feature. |
| AI engines | Core plan lists 4: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview and Copilot. Gemini, Meta AI, AI Mode and Grok are listed on Enterprise. | ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, AI Mode, Google Search with its AI Overview, and Google News (Perplexity and Grok built, paused). |
| Countries | The Core plan shows 1 country. | country on every engine: 213 countries on ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode and Google Search; city on AI Mode and Google Search; US states on Gemini. |
Pricing
| Scrunch | AnswerLine | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | Core $250/month: 125 prompts, 5,000 responses a month, 4 LLMs. | 500 / month, no card. |
| Scaling | Enterprise is custom-priced with expanded model coverage. | Paid plans from the Lite tier at a flat rate per credit; every paid plan yields the same $/credit, so cost scales linearly with requests. |
| Failures | Monthly response quota. | Only successful requests are charged. |
When each fits
Scrunch fits teams that want the numbers read for them in a UI — mention rates, sentiment and recommendations. An API fits teams that already have somewhere for the data to go: a tracking product, an agency report, a warehouse join against traffic or sales.
On Scrunch's Core plan, 5,000 responses a month across 125 prompts costs $250. The same volume here is a for loop over a prompt set priced per response, and you keep the full answer text and every cited source instead of a dashboard aggregate.
